Job Duties
The Office of Long-Term Care, Med Needs RN position reviews applications for LTC placement, ICF/HDC placement, TEFRA, and PASRR referrals and evaluations in a timely and consistent manner. This position is governed by State and Federal laws as well as agency policy. The Med Needs RN will review applications submitted through QuickBase, the Access Arkansas/ARIES database, and via email. The nurse will process 704s, answer emails, communicate with providers concerning applications submitted to the state for determination, and other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Knowledge of nursing principles, practices and procedures.
- Experience in assessing and reviewing applications for nursing home residents is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills are imperative as customer service and professionalism is required for all patient interaction and team collaboration.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work within multiple computer systems, such as QuickBase and ARIES, and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Arkansas.
Skills

- Ability to perform physical assessments and recognize changes in patient condition.
- Proficiency in administering medications and treatments safely.
- Strong communication skills for patient interaction and team collaboration.
