Responsibilities

  • Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
  • Provide individualized care by conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
  • Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
  • Educate patients and families on the nature of mental health disorders, the disease of addiction, and the need for treatment.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient progress.
  • Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.

Requirements

  • An active RN license in [state]
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience; phlebotomy skills preferred.
  • Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it during orientation.
  • CARN certification preferred.
  • Strong clinical judgment and the capacity to safely administer medications and proficiency in effectively managing medical and behavioral health emergencies such as suicide ideation and aggression.
  • Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM criteria and terminology.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient care.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience; phlebotomy skills preferred.
