Responsibilities
- Conduct intake assessments through interviews with patients and relatives to gather case history.
- Provide individualized care by conducting comprehensive patient assessments and developing tailored care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with established protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, including physicians, therapists, and case managers, to coordinate holistic patient care.
- Educate patients and families on the nature of mental health disorders, the disease of addiction, and the need for treatment.
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of patient progress.
- Foster a safe and supportive environment that respects the dignity and diversity of all individuals.
Requirements
- An active RN license in [state]
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience; phlebotomy skills preferred.
- Current BLS certification or the ability to obtain it during orientation.
- CARN certification preferred.
- Strong clinical judgment and the capacity to safely administer medications and proficiency in effectively managing medical and behavioral health emergencies such as suicide ideation and aggression.
- Knowledge of health care, detoxification process, addiction, co-occurring disorders, and DSM criteria and terminology.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with a commitment to compassionate patient care.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years' experience in behavioral health, addiction recovery, or 5 years of supervisory experience; phlebotomy skills preferred.
