Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) looking for an opportunity to make a difference in the lives of individuals with physical and developmental disabilities? At Merakey, we put heart and soul into everything we do. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team at our program in Philadelphia, PA.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments, including tube feedings and tracheostomy care, with precision and compassion.
• Perform nursing assessments on residents as needed to identify and address health issues promptly.
• Collaborate with various healthcare professionals and specialists to coordinate comprehensive care, keeping the nurse manager informed.
• Provide health education to residents and their families, including implementing self-medication programs as directed by the nurse manager.
• Conduct in-service training for staff to ensure compliance with protocols and procedures, promoting a culture of excellence in care delivery.
• Communicate health issues with the interdisciplinary team, actively participating in staff meetings and monthly reviews with the QIDP.
• Complete quarterly assessments in a timely manner, maintaining accurate documentation.
• Fulfill duties as a charge nurse when assigned, carrying an emergency contact telephone, and responding as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the smooth operation of our program.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Registered Nurse program.
• Current license as an RN in the Commonwealth of PA.
• Preferably, at least one year of experience as an RN.
• Genuine interest in working with individuals with physical and developmental disabilities.
• Possession of a current and valid PA driver’s license, along with reliable transportation (may be required).
• Ability to perform professional nursing duties including assessment, treatment, and medication dispensing.
• Physical capability to exert up to 50 lbs occasionally, and/or up to 20 lbs frequently, and/or up to 10 lbs continuously.

Pay

• $43/Hour + Enhanced Pay Eligible (Extra $2/Hour, if opting in) + Shift Differentials

Schedule

• 3rd Shift - 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM with every 3rd weekend (36 hours per week)
• Shift Differentials:
  • Monday – Thursday | 2:30 PM – 7:00 AM: $4.00 per hour
  • Friday 2:30 PM – Saturday 7:00 AM: $4.00 per hour
  • Saturday 6:30 AM – Monday 7:00 AM: $6.00 per hour
