Registered Nurse

About the role

The RN works in a 6-chair dialysis den located within DaVita SNF Dialysis at Plaza, 1475 N Granite Reef Rd, Scottsdale, AZ 85257, with additional local SNF Dialysis den locations including Haven Sky Harbor in Phoenix, Palm Valley in Goodyear, and Resolve in Phoenix. DaVita SNF Dialysis dens are open Monday through Saturday and treat up to three shifts of patients each day depending on census, with start times typically around 5:00 AM. The RN will have a 3-day/week schedule with no on-call, but must be flexible to support other local SNF Dialysis dens as needed.

Responsibilities

• Take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track.
• Troubleshoot and make sound decisions for patients related to their dialysis treatment.
• Occasionally partner with SNF staff to coordinate care.
• Provide patient education, leveraging RN training to conduct impactful and meaningful education to patients and their families in the SNF setting.
• Independently demonstrate best practice techniques and deliver optimal dialysis care.
• Supervise Dialysis Technicians tasked with delivering tandem care to meet program capacity and efficiency goals.
• Apply core nursing skills to assess, diagnose, and implement complete care plans, considering the whole patient.

Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Minimum of 12 months of RN experience.
• Associates Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may be substituted for the nursing degree.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook.
• Previous Hemodialysis Experience.

Qualifications

• Previous Chronic Hemodialysis, Acute Dialysis and/or Peritoneal Dialysis (PD) nursing experience.
• Training/Teaching/Healthcare Education background.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).
