Registered Nurse
About the role
DaVita is seeking a Nurse for an outpatient dialysis center. The role involves providing care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.
Responsibilities
- Build long-term relationships with patients and their families.
- Work in a supportive, positive environment with a team of PCTs.
- Conduct patient observations, measure stats, and set up machines.
- Deliver care to patients with multiple co-morbidities using a variety of nursing skills.
- Work in a fast-paced environment, combining head, heart, and hands in your daily tasks.
Requirements
- No dialysis experience required; training provided.
- Paid on-the-job training available for the first 10 weeks.
- Float to various clinics as needed.
- Comfortable working 3-4 days/week, 10-14 hours per shift, no on-call required.
- Shifts can start as early as 4:30 AM.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of Indiana.
- A.D.N. from an accredited school of nursing required; B.S.N. or three-year diploma may substitute for nursing degree.
- Previous Intensive Care Unit, Critical Care Unit, Emergency Room, Medical Surgical, or dialysis experience is a plus.
