Registered Nurse

About the role

DaVita is seeking a Nurse to work in an outpatient dialysis center. The position involves providing care to patients with end-stage renal failure or chronic kidney disease.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care in an empathetic, compassionate way, similar to how one would want their own care to be.
• Build meaningful and long-term relationships with patients and their families in an intimate outpatient setting.
• Work with a team that supports and relies on each other in a positive environment.
• Oversee a group of patients with the support of PCTs to conduct patient observations, measure stats, and set up machines.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, using both clinical skills and interpersonal abilities.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (A.D.N) from an accredited school of nursing.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (B.S.N) or a three-year diploma from an accredited diploma program may substitute for a nursing degree.
• Experience in Intensive Care Unit (ICU), Critical Care Unit (CCU), Emergency Room (ER), or Medical Surgical (Med Surg) units is helpful but not required.
• Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certified Dialysis Nurse (CDN).

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of nephrology and dialysis procedures.
