Registered Nurse

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor patients for stress testing, including various types of imaging and EKG studies.
• EKG rhythm identification and interpretation, including knowledge of arrhythmias.
• Prepare patients for stress testing procedures, including patient interviews, vital sign measurements, medical history collection, consent and signature acquisition, and patient education on procedure risks and complications.
• React appropriately to medical emergencies during stress testing.
• Maintain patient confidentiality at all times.
• Occasionally retrieve, research, and return calls from the nursing voice mailbox.
• Triage urgent calls and facilitate appropriate levels of care for patients.
• Provide emergency support to patients in all areas of the office as needed.
• Assist with loop monitor implants.
• Conduct peer reviews as assigned.

Requirements

• A current RN license.
• ACLS, BLS, and CPR certifications.
• A BSN degree is preferred but not required.
• At least two years of experience as an RN in Cardiology.
• The ability to multitask effectively.
• Strong computer skills, especially proficiency with an EMR system.
