Description of Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge and an eagerness to learn all aspects of providing various infusions and injections to patients, and being a key team member in the patient care process.
- Assumes responsibility for assigned group of patients.
- Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and medical treatments; notes all changes in provider order on assigned patients.
- Auxiliaries provider in the examination of patients as well as any procedures and treatment.
- Obtains and monitors physiological data of patients, observes the physiological manifestations of patients and intervenes when necessary.
- Administers medications as prescribed – initiates, regulates and monitors intravenous infusions and blood products.
- Delivers patient care competently.
- Interacts with family and patients in sharing care plan before, during and after treatment.
- Auxiliaries in administrative tasks as assigned by supervisor.
- Willingness to learn the administrative process of scheduling patients, benefits verification, and prior authorization, as this candidate may be required at times to provide support to the patient service representative in these areas.
- Ensures that the clinic is sanitized according to CDC guidelines regularly throughout the day to prevent the spread of any virus or bacteria.
- An avid commitment to excellence, accuracy, efficiency, and a positive spirit in all aspects of daily work in the clinic.
- Team player – willing to help with any area needed to successfully care for patients.
- Reports to the partners or their designee in a prompt, efficient manner with the proper disposition. This may include participation in routine management meetings, training oversight, reporting, and coordination with other departments or personnel.
- Other projects, activities, or responsibilities assigned at the discretion of the partners or their designee.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current RN license
- 1-2 years infusion experience in clinic or hospital setting preferred
- Computer literacy, including knowledge of software applications and familiarity with MS Office, electronic health records, internet, and mobile applications
- A friendly personality with good people skills including team collaboration
- Good written communication skills
Physical Requirements
- The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, and sit, as well as talk and hear.
- Good hand-eye coordination and the ability to lift up to at least 30 pounds.
