Registered Nurse Assistant Manager ICU
About the role
Provide primary leadership and operational oversight for critical care department, maintaining a core schedule of 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with the flexibility to attend key daytime leadership meetings and administrative briefings.
Supervise daily department operations, assess patient access needs, and delegate clinical duties to staff based on competency to ensure the seamless delivery of high-quality critical care and clinical objectives.
Drive department excellence by participating in ongoing quality initiatives, leading auditing projects, collaborating on process improvements, and ensuring all clinical protocols are up to date.
Manage human resources workflows for the unit, taking a direct role in the hiring, training, professional development, and performance evaluation of the critical care nursing team.

Requirements
- Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross Accepted. Registered Nurse credentialed from the Illinois Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- Education: Professional licensure/certification AND 1 year of cumulative job specific experience required.
Preferences
- 1 year critical care experience as a registered nurse
- 1 year change experience
