Job Summary and Qualifications
The Angiography/IR RN provides specialized nursing care for patients undergoing angiography and interventional radiology procedures. They assist with pre-procedure preparation, intra-procedure monitoring, and post-procedure recovery while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
Key Responsibilities
- Pre-procedure care: Assess patient condition, review medical history, and obtain informed consent
- Procedure assistance: Monitor patient vitals, administer sedation, and provide sterile field support
- Post-procedure care: Monitor recovery, manage pain, and educate patients on discharge instructions
- Collaboration: Work closely with radiologists, technologists, and other team members to ensure smooth workflow and patient safety
Qualifications
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
- Prior RN experience in Critical Care, Emergency Services, or Interventional Radiology is required
- Associate Degree, Registered Nurse Diploma, or Bachelors Degree in Nursing is required
