Henry Ford Medical Center - Ford Road, located in Dearborn, offers adult and pediatric primary care, behavioral health services, a pain center, walk-in laboratory, radiology, pharmacy, and an OptimEyes super vision center. Additional services include dermatology, women’s health, and rehabilitation services. We are located on Auto Club Drive, accessible from Ford Road or Hubbard Drive.

About the Role

Provides leadership in the coordination and delivery of quality compassionate patient care. Utilizes the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide, delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching of patients and family. Effectively communicates with the healthcare team. Demonstrates clinical competence. May require a professional certification that is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard for the position. Works independently and in collaboration with the principal investigator when appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
  • Delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families.
  • Communicate effectively with the healthcare team and demonstrate clinical competence.
  • Formulate effective nursing care plans using clinical knowledge and analytical abilities.
  • Perform a wide variety of professional nursing services.
  • Provide patient and family education and support.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current licensure by the Michigan State Board of Nursing as a Registered Nurse.
  • Current BLS or ACLS per Henry Ford Health policy.
  • Minimum of 1+ years as a Registered Nurse.
  • Basic computer knowledge and keyboarding skills.
  • Successful completion of Henry Ford Ambulatory orientation.
  • Maintains and demonstrates current clinical knowledge in area of specialty.
  • Certification required when it is a regulatory requirement in the State of Michigan or a documented community standard (e.g., Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN)).

Qualifications

  • Pediatric experience preferred.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
  • Preferred experience in the specialty.

Schedule

  • Part-Time hours.
  • Rotating start times - Days and Weekends (one Saturday per month).
