Registered Nurse, Ambulatory OB/GYYN, Per Diem

Registered Nurse position adhering to the rules and regulations of the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Primarily responsible for professional performance and direct patient care, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and coordination of care for patients and their families across the health care continuum.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation
• Coordinate care for patients and their families across the health care continuum
• Accountable for clinical, educational, quality, and fiscal patient care outcomes using the nursing department’s model of care
• Adhere to established agency policies, procedures, protocols, guidelines, and standards of practice

Requirements

• Nursing degree: Diploma, ASN, or BSN (BSN preferred); ability to obtain BSN within 4 years if not already held
• Current RN licensure in the state of Massachusetts in good standing
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Some units may require Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• Additional certifications may be required for certain practice areas (e.g., enterstomal therapy, epidemiology, peri-operative areas)
• For this role: Outpatient/Ambulatory OB/GYN experience (within the last 2 years)
• Telephone triage experience
• Antenatal Testing/NST/Fetal Monitoring experience/certification
• Labor & Delivery experience
• Epic documentation experience preferred
• Fetal Monitoring certification

• Basic computer proficiency, including ability to access, enter, and interpret computerized data/information
• Effective interpersonal skills to facilitate communication with healthcare team members, patients, and families
• Organizational skills to set priorities and efficiently complete assigned work
• Multilingual skills (beyond English) preferred for patient populations served
• Analytical ability to solve clinical nursing issues and conduct quality improvement research projects
• Ability to effectively delegate patient care activities
• Effective verbal and written communication skills appropriate to patient populations served
• Physical ability to meet core job responsibilities in accordance with practice setting demands
• Ability to manage stress due to critical patient care issues, organizational changes, and personnel issues

Pay

Compensation range: $38.05 - $75.33 per hour. This range is based on minimum job qualifications, with actual offers determined by factors such as education, experience, and licensure/certifications directly related to the position.
