Registered Nurse- Allergy (Full Time)

Responsibilities
- Provide a high level of general care, vial mixing, administering allergy shots, and educating patients.
- Administers prescribed testing (including skin prick testing and intradermal testing), medications and treatments.
- Maintains immunotherapy room with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.
- Administer allergy shots and ensure provider is on site.
- Observe, record and report patients’ vitals and reactions to treatments.
- Absess patients’ needs and suggest solutions to patient care problems.
- Serve as a role model and consultant to staff.
- Ensure allergy test sets and emergency kits are filled, current, and up to date.
- Confirm that insurance benefits have been verified prior to preparation of allergy serums.
- Perform inventory responsibilities, including but not limited to, ordering and stocking of supplies and equipment as requested.
Requirements
- Minimum 1-3 years of experience.
- Allergy experience strongly preferred.
- Associate or bachelor’s degree in nursing required.
- Pass the NCLEX-RN or state approved comparison.
- Active Registered Nurse license in appropriate state.
- CPR and AED Certifications required.
- Experience using EMR software and patient scheduling systems.
- Must be computer savvy and familiar with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Excellent patient relations and customer services skills.
- Open availability to work during weekdays.
- Working knowledge of HIPAA & OSHA compliance.
Qualifications

- Knowledge of immunotherapy vial mixing procedures and proper documentation.
- Ability to react appropriately in patient reaction situations.
- Ability to assist provider in recording prescribed treatments, medications, lab requisitions, prescriptions, prior authorization (including biologics), obtaining consents, and procedures within established guidelines.
- Ability to maintain knowledge of trends and developments in the field by reading appropriate articles, journals, and related materials; and by attending seminars and conferences as needed.

Pay
$79,120 - $98,900
Schedule
Full time, 30+ hours. Availability Monday through Friday with rotating Saturdays within operating hours of 7:00am-7:30pm. Open Flexibility to help cover in a team environment is needed.
