Registered Nurse - Advanced Acute Care Surgical Trauma Unit

About the role

This position involves delivering comprehensive inpatient nursing care, including assessments, planning, implementation, and evaluation, in accordance with state standards. The RN will provide direct patient treatments, medications, and diagnostic procedures, addressing physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and families.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate individualized care plans with interdisciplinary teams, including patient and family education and discharge planning.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of nursing interventions and adjust care accordingly.
• Collaborate with physicians and ancillary staff to meet patient needs and resolve issues proactively.
• Assign tasks to team members based on skill levels and patient acuity, promoting teamwork and delegation.
• Troubleshoot equipment and participate in evidence-based practice initiatives.
• Contribute to quality and safety programs, supporting organizational goals and the Magnet mission.

Qualifications

Graduate from a specialty nursing training program is required.

Schedule

Work hours are from 7 pm to 7:30 am, including every other weekend and holidays.
