Registered Nurse - Adult Psychiatry

About the Role

Provides direct patient care in a Behavioral Health setting for adult and geriatric patients with acute and chronic mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Performs initial and ongoing bio-psychosocial assessments and develops individualized nursing care plans.
• Participates in treatment team conferences to plan and revise patient goals and interventions.
• Implements nursing care, conducts group therapy sessions, and evaluates patient responses to treatment.
• Deliver compassionate, individualized care within established policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with the treatment team to adjust care plans based on patient progress.
• Participate in group therapy and patient assessments to promote stabilization and recovery.

Requirements

• Licensed Registered Nurse with licensure from the Alabama Board of Nursing.
• BLS certification obtained within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Diploma from an accredited nursing program.
