Registered Nurse | Acute Rehab | Part Time Days

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care using the nursing process.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately while maintaining complete EMR documentation.
• Monitor patient progress and modify care plans to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Complete NIH Stroke Scale documentation for applicable patients.
• Conduct hourly patient rounding to promote safety, comfort, and satisfaction.
• Educate patients and families to promote independence and successful self-management after discharge.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, case managers, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Licensure & Certifications: Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) License, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification, NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 6 months of hire, Quality Indicator Measure Certification within 6 months of hire, and Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) preferred.
• Skills: Strong assessment, critical thinking, communication, and organizational skills; ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; knowledge of rehabilitation nursing practices and the care of patients with physical disabilities and chronic illnesses; ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary healthcare team.
