Registered Nurse - Acute Care Medical-Surgical Unit

Role Overview: This position involves providing direct inpatient nursing care, supervising assigned staff, and supporting the orientation and training of new employees. Key Responsibilities Coordinate nursing activities on the unit to ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective patient care.Conduct performance appraisals, address performance issues, and assist with staff scheduling and supply management.Communicate patient care information and operational updates effectively to team members and other departments.Support implementation of policies, regulations, and evidence-based practices, fostering a positive work environment aligned with Magnet principles.Mentor staff, delegate tasks, and serve as a resource for unit issues, ensuring regulatory compliance and optimal resource utilization.Participate in quality improvement initiatives and follow up on incidents to ensure proper documentation and resolution. Qualifications & Skills Enrollment in a BSN program with at least 2 years of experience or graduation from a specialty training program.Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing; required: enrollment in related bachelor’s program.Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills. Additional Details: The role involves clinical environment work, with hours typically from 7a-7:30p, flexible to business needs. The position emphasizes a patient-centered approach, collaboration, and continuous improvement to deliver exceptional care.
