Responsibilities
- Fulfills the role of resident care provider and directs nursing staff.
- Develops and collaborates on the plan of care with physicians, therapists, and nursing assistants.
- Maintains safety regulations by monitoring assigned staff.
- Provides nursing care within scope of practice to meet patient needs.
- Ensures compliance with standards of practice, physician orders, center policies, state, federal, and local guidelines.
- Documents changes in patient conditions and notifies relevant departments of room changes, LOA, new admits, or discharges.
- Makes rounds with physicians as needed.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the practicing state.
- Current BLS/CPR certification or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience in nursing management is preferred but not required.
