About the role
PCU Registered Nurse (RN) in a hospital setting, providing high-quality patient care in acute-care environments.
Responsibilities
- Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions
- Monitoring cardiac rhythms and patient status changes
- Administering medications, IV therapies, and treatments
- Collaborating with physicians and care teams
- Maintaining accurate electronic medical records
- Following infection-control and safety standards
- Educating patients and families on care and discharge plans
- Adapting to various hospital units and environments
Qualifications
- Active Virginia RN license
- Minimum 2 years recent PCU experience within the past 4 years
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Recent QuantiFERON-TB Gold test (within 12 months)
- COVID-19 vaccination or approved exemption
- Additional credentials may be required based on facility
Pay
- Per diem pay
- Daily and weekly payment options
Schedule
- Flexible scheduling with shifts from 7a‑7p and 7p‑7a
- Ability to select shifts that fit personal schedules
- Opportunity to work as little as one shift per month
