Duties and Responsibilities

• Nursing Process
• Applies nursing process in direct patient care
• Provides accurate assessment and documentation of physiological, psycho-social, cultural, developmental, socioeconomic, and spiritual needs of patient
• Updates nursing care plan as evidenced by notations on care plan
• Evaluates and documents outcomes of medical, nursing, and ancillary team interventions
• Ensures adherence to admission and transfer criteria
• Adheres to current policies and procedures
• Evaluates and documents patient's progress in relation to the care plan
• Manages time effectively in accomplishing care
• Nursing Care Delivery Process
• Knowledgeable regarding current nursing practices and procedures
• Demonstrates knowledge of legal aspects of nursing care
• Interprets rules and regulations
• Interacts with medical staff and patient care team
• Operates technical equipment safely, efficiently, and accurately
