About the Program
At ReDiscover, our Medication Services Program plays a vital role in helping individuals achieve stability, hope, and wellness. Through our Med Clinics—located across several ReDiscover sites—our compassionate team partners with clients to evaluate their needs, prescribe appropriate medications, and provide ongoing monitoring and support.
Responsibilities
- Complete initial assessment/history on all clients entering treatment.
- Strategically use assessment information to make an appropriate clinical evaluation of client's current conditions in a timely manner, including (but not limited to) making appropriate referrals, consulting with physician, and/or educating the client as appropriate.
- Educate clients and families on symptoms, medications, and side effects.
- Provide a welcoming approach towards all clients, visitors, and guests from a trauma-informed approach.
- Collect and maintain information about clients and document interactions within ReDiscover’s designated electronic medical record.
- Communicate and collaborate with an internal multi-disciplinary team to address various aspects of wellness and ensure positive communication regarding the coordination of client care.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Active Missouri license as a Registered Nurse (or the ability to practice as an RN in the state of Missouri).
- At least two (2) years clinical experience in direct service provision in a mental health setting preferred.
- Knowledge of community resources as well as health and social service systems in the Kansas City metro area and skill in establishing working relationships with community partners preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills with a recovery focus.
- Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Intermediate computer skills in typing/keyboarding, Microsoft Word and Excel programs, as well as use of email.
Schedule
Full-Time, 40-Hours per week - Monday to Thursday - 10-Hour Days
