Registered Nurse - 3rd Medical - MRMC - FT / 7p - 7a

Responsibilities

• Assess the needs of patients as assigned based on data collected through history, observation, physical examination, and analysis of diagnostic data.
• Provide appropriate age-specific nursing interventions that align with the patient's plan of care and nursing standards.
• Foster an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for patients, families, and visitors.
• Utilize appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both patients and staff.
• Follow standard work in relation to Nursing Sensitive Quality Indicators.
• Contribute to the department's performance through precepting and mentoring novice employees.
• Cultivate nursing-involved evidence-based practices and contribute to department growth and performance through hospital-system initiatives.
• Demonstrate continued professional growth by setting goals and participating in educational offerings.
• Float to assist in other like units as needed.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Advanced resuscitative certification appropriate to population if serving in a charge nurse role.

Requirements

• Licenses and Certifications: Basic Life Support, Registered Nurse.
