Job Responsibilities

• Provides direct and indirect patient care services to administer vaccinations.
• Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance.
• Demonstrates competency in patient care standards required for safe delivery of Immunizations.
• Assesses patients via screening for immunizations and completes accurate clinical documentation.
• Manages time effectively and demonstrates basic leadership qualities.
• Collaborates with liaisons to determine the appropriate site for vaccination administration.
• Documents services provided promptly and accurately using the Vaccine Administration Record (VAR).
• Communicates changes in patient status to relevant staff members.
• Uses technology effectively to communicate with liaisons and coordinate with vaccination clinics.
• Participates in on-call responsibilities as assigned.
• Communicates with agency staff, liaisons, Long-Term Care Facility staff, patients, and families.
• Safely administers vaccines according to established standards of practice and policy.
• Communicates with patient’s physician and supervisor regarding issues, changes in status, and goal attainment.
• Reports patient care needs, progress, and goals to alternate nurses during care transfers.

Qualifications

• Active, unencumbered Registered Nurse license in state(s) of practice.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
