Registered Nurse 2-Med Surg Oncology WOW (Days)

Responsibilities

• Coordinates and delivers patient care using the health care team philosophy practice model.
• Coordinates and does patient teaching and discharge planning.
• Captures activities with ancillary departments.
• Maintains standards of department and the hospital.
• Reports to Nurse Manager or designee.

Qualifications

• One year experience as an RN needed.
• Graduate of accredited school of nursing.
• Demonstrates ability to recognize patients' individual needs based on medical conditions, age adolescents, young adults, middle-aged and geriatric), limitations and planned procedures.
• Requires good judgment in delivering patient care; good oral and written communication skills; ability to function in stressful situations; current review in CPR.
• Willing to rotate shifts, days off and work area; may occasionally be required to work overtime.
• Current Mississippi State license as RN.
