Registered Nurse 1.1 School Care

About the role

This position is for a Registered Nurse (RN) providing one-on-one nursing care to a student in a school setting. The nurse may also ride the bus with the student.

Responsibilities

• Manage the student's medical needs, including trach and vent care, G-tube feedings, seizure monitoring, personal care, and diabetic care
• Provide compassionate, one-on-one patient care
• Adhere to safety protocols at all times
• Operate and manage medical equipment
• Respond appropriately to emergency situations
• Collaborate with the school team in a cooperative environment

Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state
• Current health certification
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Successful completion of a drug screen
• One year of RN experience preferred
