Registered Dietitian - Per Diem - Day

About the role

As a Registered Dietitian at Hackensack Meridian Health, you will develop, implement, and promote quality, evidence-based nutrition care for patients in both acute and outpatient settings. You will support facility and department initiatives to maintain high-quality care and participate in community events to promote health and improve nutrition in the communities we serve. This position requires availability every Sunday, with additional flexibility for weekday shifts as needed, totaling 2–3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) to develop, implement, and monitor evidence-based medical nutrition therapy interventions for assigned patients.
• Obtain, analyze, and interpret patient data using evidence-based guidelines to create and implement nutrition interventions and care plans.
• Monitor progress of nutrition interventions by evaluating patient outcomes.
• Provide nutrition education and/or counseling as appropriate.
• Actively participate as a member of the healthcare team caring for patients.
• Adhere to HMH organizational competencies and standards of behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nutrition or related field.
• Registered Dietitian Nutritionist certification within 60 days of entering the position.

Pay

Starting rate of $38.27 per hour. The final base compensation may vary based on factors such as labor market data, experience, education, certifications, skills, geographic location, internal equity, and budget considerations. Some positions may also be eligible for shift differentials, performance-based incentives, bonuses, or commissions.
