Pay & Benefits

• Pay Range: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly.
• Compensation will be commensurate upon experience and qualifications.
• This position is Non-Exempt from the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) overtime provisions.

  Essential Functions

  • Provide individual nutrition counseling sessions for UCCS students.
  • Conduct research and chart review in preparation for individual counseling sessions and complete chart documentation and needed referrals for students seen during sessions.
  • Work closely with counseling and medical providers to provide integrated care for students being seen for multiple services.
  • Mentor graduate nutrition students in their community practicum and service-learning hours.
  • Provide nutritional insight and support to Wellness Promotion team and campus partners such as Clyde’s Cupboard, Campus Recreation, and Dining and Hospitality Services.

  Qualifications

  • Current Colorado Registered Dietitian license is required before start date.
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related program is required.
  • Proven experience providing one-on-one nutritional counseling sessions is required.
  • A Master’s degree from an accredited institution in Nutrition, Dietetics or a related degree is highly desirable.
  • Experience working in a college health or counseling setting is highly desirable.
  • Experience working with eating disorders and chronic illnesses is highly desirable.
  • Experience using an Electronic Health Record system is preferred.

  Physical Requirements

  • Frequent sitting.
  • Sometimes lifting and/or moving up to 20 pounds.
  • Continuous use of a computer screen.
  • Occasional hearing.
