Registered Dietitian

About the role

The Registered Dietitian will ensure accurate assessment of nutritional status and develop plans to improve it as needed. They will also provide guidance to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, FNS Manager, NDTR, and FNS Department staff.

Responsibilities

• Assess nutritional status of patients/residents accurately
• Plan approaches to improve nutritional status
• Provide guidance to the Director of Food and Nutrition Services, FNS Manager, NDTR, and FNS Department staff
• Offer advice to the Administrator
• Provide guidance to the FNS department
• Work in the clinical area with emphasis on food and nutrition services

Qualifications

• Sincere interest in foodservice & nutrition
• Enjoy working with senior care living population and other healthcare patients
• Meet Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics requirements for RDNs
• One year's experience in clinical nutrition desired but not essential
• Experience of an accredited Dietetic Internship or equivalent training expected
• Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply nutrition principles
• Able to accurately use this knowledge to assess nutritional status and plan care for the patients

$64,000 annually
