Essential Job Functions
- Captures coordination with internal and external providers for nutrition-related health consultations
- Consults with students on weight management and fitness concerns
- Educates students on the importance of nutrition for performance and recovery
- Provides nutrition counseling and MNT to manage chronic health conditions
- Organizes nutrition workshops for students
- Collaborates with other university departments to improve student health and well-being
- Trains and educates other university departments on nutrition and health topics
- Prepares graduate nutrition students for supervised experiential education
- Maintains dietary requirements for students
- Supports students with special dietary needs and food allergies
- Conducts individual nutritional assessments and develops care plans
- Assesses students' nutritional needs through evaluations of eating behaviors and caloric intake
- Assists with departmental budgeting
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor’s degree
- Experience as a Dietitian or related field
- Active Rhode Island Dietitian/Nutritionist (LDN) license
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education food service
