About the role
DaVita is currently looking for an experienced Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our incredible clinic team in Winter Park, FL. Dietitians are at the heart of our holistic approach to care. In this role, you will build long-term relationships with patients, guiding them through their health journeys and directly impacting their quality of life.
What You'll Do
- Develop Individualized Care: Create customized Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) plans based on lab results and individualized goals.
- Empower Patients: Utilize Motivational Interviewing to counsel patients, overcome barriers, and inspire positive behavior change.
- Lead Clinical Outcomes: Act as the facility's Mineral and Bone Disorder Manager, monitoring nutritional status, fluid adherence, and dialysis adequacy.
- Collaborate: Partner closely with an interdisciplinary team (IDT) of nurses, social workers, and physicians to deliver comprehensive care.
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field.
- Registered Dietitian (RD) credential with at least 12 months of clinical experience post-CDR exam.
- State licensure in Florida (or eligibility to obtain within 120 days).
- Previous specialized renal experience is highly preferred but not required!
