About the role
The primary responsibility of the Dietitian is to provide nutrition care and education to Piedmont Health SeniorCare participants and provide oversight of dietary services. Evaluate the participants' nutritional status, develop and implement nutritional care plans, assess nutrient requirements, recommend nutritional prescriptions, evaluate participant tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional care, and communicate nutritional data and information to the physician’s and other health professionals. The Dietitian will also supervise the dietary coordinator.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate the participants' nutritional status
- Develop and implement nutritional care plans
- Audit nutrient requirements
- Recommend nutritional prescriptions
- Evaluate participant tolerance and effectiveness of nutritional care
- Communicate nutritional data and information to the physician’s and other health professionals
- Supervise the dietary coordinator
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution approved by the ACENT with a major in nutrition
- Master’s Degree preferred
- One year of experience with the frail or elderly preferred
- Clinical dietetics experience preferred
- Ability to teach; analytical thinking
- Ability to provide care to geriatric participants; knowledge of clinical dietetics
- Must be able to work under pressure
- Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
- Licensure, Registry or Certification Required: Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RND) or Registered Dietitian (RD)
- Valid NC driver’s license
- Immunizations: Be medically cleared for communicable diseases and have all immunizations up-to-date prior to beginning employment
Qualifications
- Education/Experience: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution approved by the ACENT with a major in nutrition. Master’s Degree preferred. One year of experience with the frail or elderly preferred. Clinical dietetics experience preferred.

Pay
$59,050 to $79,358 (commensurate with years of experience)
Schedule
Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
