Responsibilities
- Works closely with community F&B staff to ensure sanitation and HACCP standards in compliance with local, state and federal regulations.
- Completes nutritional initial, quarterly, annual and significant change reviews on residents according to federal and state guidelines.
- Reviews monthly and weekly weights to determine those residents which have had a significant change.
- Completes nutritional reviews monthly on high risk residents (significant weight loss/gain, pressure ulcer, hemodialysis, and tube fed).
- Assesses nutritional needs, diet restrictions and current health plans in order to develop and implement dietary care plans and provides nutritional counseling as needed.
- Consults with physicians and other health care personnel (Nurse Practitioners, Dialysis Dietitians, etc.) to determine diet restrictions and nutritional needs of residents.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 3 years of clinical nutrition experience.
- State certification in food service sanitation is required.
- A Registered Dietitian with the Commission on Dietetic Registration, the credentialing agency for the American Dietetic Asociation is required.
- A Bachelor's Degree in nutrition from an accredited college or university is required.
- Knowledge of HACCP is preferred.
Pay
Pay Range: USD $74,300.63 - USD $92,862.79 /Yr.
