Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer RDMS/RVT/RDCS (Weekend Call Only)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS/RVT/RDCS) to join our Newberry Health team in an on-call only position. This role offers an excellent opportunity for experienced sonographers to contribute to patient care in a dynamic medical environment, providing essential diagnostic imaging services with flexibility and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations across various specialties, including obstetrics, gynecology, abdominal, vascular, and other areas as required.
• Accurately operate ultrasound equipment to produce high-quality images for interpretation by physicians.
• Ensure patient comfort and safety during procedures, providing clear instructions and support.
• Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of procedures and findings.
• Adhere to all safety protocols, infection control standards, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in on-call duties, responding promptly to imaging requests as scheduled.

Requirements

• Proven experience in performing a wide range of ultrasound examinations.
• Strong knowledge of ultrasound physics, anatomy, and pathology.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and efficiently in a call-only, PRN capacity.
• Flexibility to respond to call requests promptly and adapt to varying schedules.
• Current CPR certification and compliance with all healthcare regulations.
• Applicant must be a Registered Diagnostic Medical Sonographer (RDMS). Vascular experience (RVT)/CCI (RVS) strongly preferred.

Schedule

On-call hours are weekends only: Friday 7:00 pm through Monday 7:00 am.
