Registered Dental Hygienist-Dental Care Clinic Belfast
Key Responsibilities
- Provide dental hygiene services including patient assessment, prophylaxis, scaling, and preventative treatments
- Educate patients on oral hygiene practices, preventative care, and overall oral health
- Assist in identifying oral health conditions and collaborate with the dental provider on patient care plans
- Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
- Support infection control and sterilization protocols in accordance with clinic and regulatory standards
- Participate in community outreach or education efforts when appropriate
- Work collaboratively with the dental care team to ensure a positive patient experience
Required Minimum Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities (KSAs)
- Education: Graduate of an accredited School of Dental Hygiene required
- Licenses/Certifications: Current applicable state(s) license in Dental Hygiene required. Current applicable state(s) Dental Radiographer license required or must receive within three months of hire
- Experience: One year of clinical experience as a dental hygienist preferred

Bonus Information
The Registered Dental Hygienist role is eligible for a $10,000.00 Sign on Bonus for a Full or Part time position. The bonus amount is prorated for Part time hires; per diem hires are ineligible. Current MaineHealth member employees are ineligible; former MaineHealth Members are ineligible until greater than 6 months of separation from employment.
