Qualifications
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from an accredited dental school
- Current license to practice dentistry in New York State
- Completion of a two-year residency with the United States Air Force
- Over 1,500 hours of continuing education in the latest dental techniques and technologies

Dr. Howard Leifer is a highly experienced and respected clinician who has been serving the Catskill community since 1974. After completing a two-year residency with the United States Air Force, he dedicated his career to advancing his clinical expertise, completing over 1,500 hours of continuing education in the latest dental techniques and technologies. A life member of the American Dental Association, Dr. Leifer is also affiliated with the Academy of General Dentistry, New York State Dental Association, and several regional dental societies. He has also served for 30 years as Chairman of the Peer Review Committee for Greene, Ulster, and Columbia Counties. Known for his patient-first approach, Dr. Leifer focuses on delivering comprehensive, comfortable, and long-lasting dental care. He is deeply committed to clinical excellence and fostering a supportive, collaborative environment for his team.
