Registered Dental Hygienist

About the Role

TTUHSC Managed Care is seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Dental Hygienist to join our team at the Fort Stockton/Lynaugh Unit in Fort Stockton, TX. In this unique setting, you'll play a vital role in delivering essential oral health care to an underserved population—helping restore not just smiles, but dignity and wellness.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, 10 hours

What You'll Do

• Professionally clean teeth including prophies and scaling and root planing
• Presents instructions on proper personal oral hygiene
• Captures digital radiographs
• Administers topical fluoride
• Disinfects surfaces and dental equipment
• Sterilizes dental instruments according to OSHA regulations
• Takes thorough inventory of instruments through daily counts and logs
• Serve as Dental Assistant when needed
• Proper record keeping and maintenance both in manual and automated systems
• Ensure dental supplies are on hand and ordered in a timely manner
• Answer sick call requests and schedules patients in a timely manner

Required Qualifications

• A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an approved hygiene training program
• Licensed to practice dental hygiene by the Texas Board of Dental Examiners
