Registered Dental Hygienist

About the role

Big Smiles Florida is a school-based mobile dental home seeking a Registered Dental Hygienist in Orlando, FL and surrounding areas. The program offers a unique work environment with a workday ending with the school day and no nights or weekends.

Responsibilities

• Aid in oral health management of all patients, acting as a team player at all times.
• Verify patient identity using name and date of birth before treatment, initialing the medical chart.
• Conduct oral health assessments, including new baseline and follow-up evaluations.
• Provide dental prophylaxis, scaling, sealant application, and fluoride application.
• Offer oral hygiene services and individual counseling based on known oral health care practices.
• Document provided dental services in the patient’s chart.
• Travel daily to and from school sites.
• Work a school day schedule (approximately 6-7 hours), typically from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

Qualifications

• Must hold an active RDH license.
• Working experience as a Registered Dental Hygienist required.
• Valid driver license, reliable transportation, and willingness to travel.
• SDF Certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Current BLS certification.
• Bilingual skills preferred.
