Registered Dental Assistant (RDA)

Busy, fun, and friendly dental office where you can fully utilize your RDA skills working with Pediatric Dentists, Orthodontists, and Anesthesiologists.

About the role

The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act. Responsibilities

• Assists the doctor in procedures
• Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
• Performs prophylaxis (prophy) on teeth
• Instructs patients on oral hygiene
• Charts and treatment plans with doctor
• Sterilizes instruments
• Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
• Takes intraoral (IO) photos
• Performs charting
• Applies sealants, if applicable
• Other duties may be assigned

Requirements

• Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
• California Registered Dental Assistant License
• X-Ray Certification
• Coronal Polish Certification
• Current BLS certification
• Sealant Certification (preferred)

Pay

Pay range: $21.83–$29.23/hour (based on experience) plus bonus opportunities.
