About the role
The Registered Dental Assistant supports dental care delivery by preparing treatment rooms, patients, instruments, and materials; passing instruments and materials; performing procedures in compliance with the Dental Practice Act.
Responsibilities
- Assists the doctor in procedures
- Operates x-ray equipment and takes x-rays
- Performs prophy teeth cleaning
- Instructs patients on oral hygiene
- Charts and treatment plans with doctor
- Sterilizes instruments
- Sets up and prepares rooms for hygiene and treatment
- Takes intraoral (IO) photos
- Performs charting
- Applies sealants, if applicable
- Other duties may be assigned
Requirements
- California Registered Dental Assistant License
- X-Ray Certification
- Coronal Polish Certification (required)
- Current BLS certification
- Sealant Certification (preferred)
- Certification from a dental college OR 3+ months related experience and/or training OR equivalent combination of education and experience (preferred)
- Bilingual in Spanish (preferred)

$23.89–$32.02/hour (based on experience)
