About the role
The Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) supports the Dentist during treatments, exams, and treatment discussions with patients. This position collaborates with other team members to perform general RDA duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Greet and prepare patients for exams, completing digital charting and verifying codes with precision.
- Capture quality x-ray images.
- Aid the dentist with various treatment procedures.
- Set up and sterilize exam and treatment rooms.
- Discuss treatment options, their importance, and follow-up care recommendations.
- Perform teeth polishing and sealant placement procedures (with required certifications).
- Schedule patient treatment appointments as needed.
- Ensure proper sterilization of instruments and adhere to cross-contamination standards.
- Create positive and uplifting patient environments by engaging with patients before, during, and after visits.
- Guide parents and patients through post-care instructions.
- Assist patients with company-provided prizes and dismissals.
- Understand and comply with HIPAA guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications
- Texas Issued Registered Dental Assistant Licensing
- Sealant Placement, Nitrous Monitoring, and Coronal Polishing Certifications preferred (if 2+ years of experience, company provides courses)
- Digital x-ray and Digital Charting Experience
