Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Woodbridge, VA - Mon–Fri evenings

About the role

Step Ahead ABA has an in-home case open in Woodbridge and we're looking for the right RBT for it. A BCBA is already assigned to this case and covers the region. If you are accruing supervision hours toward your BCBA and this matches your availability, we’d love to place you. Our placement team will walk you through the exact days, times, and neighborhood at interview before you commit. Current RBTs at Step Ahead get first look at new cases; we fill from inside before going outside to ensure client continuity and RBT hours. Cases fill quickly; if this posting is up the case is still open.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy according to the treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the assigned BCBA.
• Receive the plan, an introduction, and support from the family’s care manager.
• Collect session data and submit notes for the work performed.
• Receive supportive supervision, including competency assessments, observation, and feedback from your Step Ahead BCBA.
• Paid non‑billable time (training, required meetings) is compensated at a separate rate.

Requirements

• Active RBT registration with the BACB, current on your start date (no exceptions).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Monday–Friday evenings.
• Comfort working in a family’s home.
• Reliable transportation.
• Able to stay active and engaged during sessions.

Pay

$22–$23 per hour for direct therapy. $10 per hour for paid non‑billable time — training and required meetings, a small share of the week. You know both numbers before you start.

Schedule

Monday–Friday evenings (exact days and times confirmed at interview).
