Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy according to the treatment plan and behavior intervention plan written by the assigned BCBA.
• Collect session data and submit notes for the work performed.
• Participate in supervision with a Step Ahead BCBA who provides competency assessments, observation, and feedback.
• Engage in non‑billable activities such as training and required meetings, which are paid.
• Read the plan before each session, communicate any concerns to the BCBA promptly, and treat the family’s home with respect.
• Maintain consistency and reliability in attendance.

Requirements

• Active RBT certification with the BACB (Step Ahead offers complimentary support to obtain certification if needed).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Comfort working in a family’s home.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stay active and engaged during sessions.

Pay

• Billable rate: $22–$23 per hour for direct therapy.
• Non‑billable time (training, required meetings, etc.): $10 per hour.
• Bonuses for cancelled sessions.
• Floating holidays (by level).
