About the role
KORT Kids Louisville, KY is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join their dynamic team. The RBT will work 1:1 with children with autism diagnoses in both the clinic and the child’s home, implementing ABA programs and Behavior Intervention Plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).
Responsibilities
- Implement ABA programs and Behavior Intervention Plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Collect and record data based on observable client behavior.
- Deliver care for children served by KORT Kids Pediatric Therapy based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis.
- Work under the supervision of the BCBA and provide direct services to individuals with Autism.
- Communicate proactively with parents and staff regarding the child’s program, ensuring clear understanding of current behavior plans.
- Maintain ongoing documentation in which goals, progress toward functional goals, and medical necessity are clearly stated.
- Complete required documentation legibly or electronically, appropriately and in a timely fashion to meet facility, physician, and payer deadlines.
- Maintain open and respectful communication with co-workers, physicians, patients, family members, and third-party payers at all times.
- Attend and/or participate in facility meetings as directed by the Center Manager (e.g., utilization review, infection control, disaster preparedness).
- Utilize time efficiently and effectively to meet productivity requirements of the facility.
- Participate in and present clinical in-services.
- Maintain current awareness of general changes in the healthcare field and specific issues impacting the practice of ABA.
- Communicate proactively with parents and staff regarding child’s program. Ensure clear understanding of current behavior plans.
Requirements
- High school diploma required.
- Experience in pediatric healthcare setting or daycare preferred.
- CPR certification preferred or to be completed upon hire.
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Psychology or Behavioral Analysis preferred.
- Pediatric behavioral technician experience preferred.
Skills
- Knowledge of behavioral principles.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member in a professional manner.
- Strong organizational, time management, and planning skills.
- Effective clinical problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication skills for accurate, concise, and organized oral and written presentations of information to patients and staff and referral sources.
- Computer skills for effective reporting including documentation, billing, payroll, note-taking, etc.
