Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) - Burlington, NC - Mon–Fri afternoons/evenings

About the role

Step Ahead ABA has an in‑home case open in Burlington for an RBT. You will deliver 97153 direct therapy under a BCBA‑assigned treatment and behavior intervention plan, work in the family’s home, and receive support from a dedicated care manager and the assigned BCBA. Current RBTs at Step Ahead get first look at new cases, and if you are accruing supervision hours toward your BCBA this case may be a fit.

Responsibilities

• Deliver 97153 direct therapy according to the BCBA’s treatment and behavior intervention plans.
• Collect session data and submit notes for the work performed.
• Follow the plan and alert the BCBA when something looks off.
• Participate in competency assessments, observations, and feedback sessions.
• Maintain active engagement throughout each therapy session.

Requirements

• Active RBT registration with the BACB (current on your start date).
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Prior ABA experience.
• Availability Monday–Friday afternoons and evenings.
• Comfort working in a family’s home.
• Reliable transportation.
• Ability to stay active and engaged during sessions.

• Passion for supporting children with autism.
• Ability to read and follow treatment plans before each session.
• Proactive communication with the BCBA about any concerns.
• Respect for the family’s home as a family’s space.
• Consistent attendance and reliability.
• Viewing each child as a unique gem and treating them accordingly.
• Teamwork with fellow RBTs and BCBAs.

Pay
