Responsibilities
- Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, or clinics.
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills.
- Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision.
- Collect, organize, and document session data accurately.
- Collaborate with BCBAs, team members, and families.
- Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.
- Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
- Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Reliable transportation with valid driver’s license and insurance.
- Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review.
- NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.
Position-Specific Requirements
- Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total).
- Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total).
- Training Availability (BT/RBT): Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
Preferred: Experience in childcare, education, or related fields; experience working with children or adolescents; prior exposure to ABA services.
Pay
- Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs): Starting rate of $24.60 per hour.
- Behavior Technicians (BTs): Starting rate of $22.25 per hour.
Final compensation determined by experience, training, and education.
