Responsibilities

  • Deliver ABA therapy in homes, schools, communities, or clinics
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under BCBA supervision
  • Collect, organize, and document session data accurately
  • Work closely with BCBAs, team members, and families
  • Participate in team meetings and ongoing training
  • Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles)
  • Availability during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Reliable transportation with valid driver's license and insurance
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screening, and driving record review
  • NJ candidates must be at least 21 years of age and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field

Behavior Technician (BT)

  • Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision)
  • Pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total)
  • Training availability: Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

  • Active certification in good standing
  • 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total)
  • Training availability: Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM

Preferred: Experience in childcare, education, or related fields; experience working with children or adolescents; prior exposure to ABA services.

Pay

  • Behavior Technicians (BTs): Starting rate of $19.35 per hour
  • Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs): Starting rate of $21.40 per hour

Final compensation determined by experience, training, and education.
