About the role

Aba Centers of New Jersey is seeking full-time Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) and Behavior Technicians (BTs) to join our team. This position offers competitive compensation starting at $22.25/hour for BTs and $24.60/hour for RBTs, with final compensation determined by experience, training, and credentials.

Responsibilities

  • Direct client support by delivering ABA therapy in various settings including homes, schools, communities, or clinics.
  • Teach communication, social, and daily living skills to individuals with autism.
  • Implement individualized treatment plans under the supervision of Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBAs).
  • Track progress and maintain quality by collecting, organizing, and documenting session data accurately.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with BCBAs, team members, and families, participating in team meetings and ongoing training.
  • Assist with administrative and clinical support tasks as needed.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 6+ months of relevant experience (including internships or related roles).
  • Available during afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Reliable transportation with a valid driver's license and insurance.
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screenings, and driving record reviews.
  • NJ candidates must be at least 21 years old and have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with children, in healthcare, or in a related field.

Position-Specific

  • Behavior Technician (BT): Complete a 40-hour paid training program over 2 consecutive weeks (at the same rate of pay), followed by precepting (hands-on supervision), and pass the RBT exam within 45 days (up to 3 weeks total).
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT): Active certification in good standing; 1 week of paid training followed by precepting (hands-on supervision) (up to 2 weeks total).

Training Availability

Must be available Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in childcare, education, or related fields.
  • Prior exposure to ABA services.
