About the Role

Under the close supervision of a Clinical Supervisor or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) implements behavioral reduction or treatment plans for individuals with behavioral-based developmental disorders.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans designed to reduce problematic behavior or improve daily living skills under the supervision of a BCBA.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data using Central Reach software.
  • Provide updates to parents or caretakers regarding client progress or ongoing treatments, as instructed by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Ensure all treatments follow established behavior reduction and behavior skills protocols.
  • Adapt interventions based on client needs using working knowledge of ABA principles.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and dignity.
  • Work both individually and as part of a team.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma.
  • Basic knowledge of ABA principles, including functions of behavior, strategies to prevent challenging behavior, teaching techniques (NET, DTT), and behavior reduction strategies.
  • Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification granted by the BCBA.
  • Preferred: 1 year of experience supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities.

  • Knowledge: Theoretical or practical understanding of ABA principles, enhanced through experience.
  • Skills: Proficiencies developed through training, practice, or experience, including data collection, intervention implementation, and communication.
  • Abilities: Capacity to perform tasks effectively, improved with training and experience, such as adapting interventions and maintaining client confidentiality.
