About the Role
Under the close supervision of a Clinical Supervisor or Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), the Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) implements behavioral reduction or treatment plans for individuals with behavioral-based developmental disorders.
Responsibilities
- Implement treatment plans designed to reduce problematic behavior or improve daily living skills under the supervision of a BCBA.
- Collect and analyze behavioral data using Central Reach software.
- Provide updates to parents or caretakers regarding client progress or ongoing treatments, as instructed by the Clinical Supervisor.
- Ensure all treatments adhere to established behavior reduction and behavior skills protocols.
- Maintain working knowledge of subject matter and adapt interventions based on client needs.
- Uphold client confidentiality and dignity at all times.
- Work both individually and as part of a team.
Requirements
- High School Diploma.
- Basic knowledge of ABA principles, including functions of behavior, strategies to prevent challenging behavior, teaching techniques (NET, DTT), and behavior reduction strategies.
- Current and active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification granted by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).
Preferred Qualifications
- One year of experience supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities.
Skills & Abilities
- Knowledge: Theoretical or practical understanding of ABA principles, enhanced through experience.
- Skills: Proficiencies developed through training, practice, or experience, including data collection, intervention implementation, and caregiver communication.
- Abilities: Capacity to perform tasks effectively, improved with training and experience, such as adapting interventions, maintaining confidentiality, and collaborating in a team.
