About the role
We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Behavior Technicians. As a Behavior Technician, you will work one-on-one with children, implementing individualized behavior intervention plans under the guidance of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). You will use evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing interfering behaviors.
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with children with autism
- Implement individualized behavior intervention plans
- Teach communication, social, and daily living skills
- Reduce interfering behaviors using evidence-based techniques
- Provide support and encouragement to children and their families
- Participate in ongoing training and professional development
- Adapt to the unpredictable and potentially confrontational nature of working with children
- Maintain a safe and positive environment for all children and staff
Requirements
- Passionate about helping children with autism
- Patient and compassionate
- Able to work well in a team environment
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- High school diploma or GED required
- Ability to obtain a CPR, First Aid Certification, and TB test (if applicable)
- Ability to pass a pre-employment background check
- Ability to move in various positions (sit, squat, bend, etc.)
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Experience with autism and behavior analysis is preferred but not required
- Comprehensive training provided by Centria Autism

Pay
The pay range for this position is $17 - $20 per hour.
Schedule
Hours may vary based on client needs and schedules, typically ranging from 8 hours per day to 40 hours per week.
